San Diego, CA — Haitian Bridge Alliance strongly condemns the horrific hate-motivated attack targeting the Islamic Center of San Diego, which resulted in the tragic loss of three innocent lives and left an entire community in mourning. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, the Muslim community in San Diego, and all those impacted by this act of violence.

“Hate directed at one community is a threat to all communities,” said Guerline Jozef, Executive Director of Haitian Bridge Alliance. “We stand in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters and firmly reject the growing normalization of hatred, extremism, and violence targeting marginalized communities across the United States. Houses of worship must remain places of peace, safety, and dignity.”

As a member of the San Diego Refugee Communities Coalition, which includes several Muslim-led sister organizations, the Haitian Bridge Alliance calls on elected officials, the local Authorities, community leaders, and the public to unequivocally condemn hate and work collectively to combat the dangerous rise in religious intolerance and extremist violence in the United States of America. We urge immediate accountability and support for the impacted families.
