The Haitian Bridge Alliance is looking for an Executive Assistant who is an agile, detail-oriented, self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment. As the Executive Assistant to the Co-Founder/Executive Director you will provide executive-level administrative and special project support.

Qualifications:
Humanitarian Organizer
The Haitian Bridge Alliance is hiring three Humanitarian Organizers to work with the Haitian and Black immigrant community in Reynosa, Matamoros, and Mexicali. Candidates must live either in those communities or in a nearby border community including Brownsville, McAllen, or Calexico. Candidates must be able to cross between both sides of the border regularly.
Responsibilities
The Organizer will also have a wide range of duties that will be largely driven by the evolving needs on the ground. For example, the needs differ depending on the seasons.
Ideal candidates will have a can-do, solutions-oriented attitude who approach humanitarian work through the lens of dignity and empowerment. The position will report to the Humanitarian Director and must be comfortable working independently. The Organizer may need to work some evenings and weekends depending on the needs of migrants on the ground.

Immigration Staff Attorney
HBA is looking for an immigration staff attorney who is highly motivated and self-directed and can manage a caseload of asylum and other types of immigration cases. The attorney will collaborate with the managing attorney and legal director on their cases as well as other staff attorneys, legal assistants, fellows, interns, and/or volunteers. The immigration staff attorney will provide support for TPS holders and those eligible for TPS, work with asylum seekers in detention, and help manage a pro bono legal referral project with the National Bar Association and AILA. The working environment is fast-paced but flexible.

LEGAL ASSISTANT/PARALEGAL
HBA is looking for a legal assistant or paralegal who is comfortable working both in person and remotely, under the supervision of the legal director, managing attorney, and staff attorney(s), can coordinate correspondence with asylum seekers and other immigrants and provide them with preliminary legal services, either in individual or group settings. They will also provide support for TPS holders and those eligible for TPS. DOJ Accreditation is preferred but not necessary and salary would reflect the qualification. Working environment is fast-paced but flexible.
