SAN DIEGO, CA— The Haitian Bridge Alliance (HBA) is calling on members of the Haitian diaspora, allies, and concerned Americans nationwide to urgently contact their representatives in Congress in support of the Discharge Petition being led by Rep. Ayanna Pressley to protect more than 300,000 Haitian nationals who are protected under Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

The legislation will be debated in the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday, April 15th at approximately 2:30 PM ET, with a final vote expected on Thursday, April 16th  at approximately 1:15 PM ET

You can watch it live on C-Span.

“We commend Congresswoman Pressley for her leadership, This is a defining moment,” said Guerline Jozef, Executive Director of the Haitian Bridge Alliance. “Lives, families, and entire futures hang in the balance. We are calling on our community and all allies to rise with urgency—call your members of Congress, demand action, and make your voices impossible to ignore. TPS is not just a policy—it is a lifeline. It is protection. It is stability. It is dignity.

HBA has worked tirelessly alongside Ayanna Pressley, congressional champions, and grassroots partners to secure the 218 co-sponsors needed to reach this critical juncture. But we cannot stop now. This is the moment to intensify our advocacy, to stand united, and to ensure that Haitian TPS holders are protected—not just today, but for the future they deserve.”

HBA will continue to monitor developments closely and provide updates as the legislative process unfolds.
