HAITIAN BRIDGE ALLIANCE HIGHLIGHTS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR GUERLINE JOZEF’S RECOGNITION AS A CARIPHIL 2026 WOMEN IMPACT-AFRO- CARIBBEAN DIASPORA AWARD RECIPIENT

San Diego, CA. — As we close Women’s History Month, the Haitian Bridge Alliance (HBA) is thrilled to announce that its Executive Director and Co-Founder, Guerline Jozef, recently received  the Women Impact-Afro- Caribbean Diaspora Award by the Caribbean Philanthropic Alliance, a recognition celebrating her exceptional leadership, global influence, and transformative impact in advancing human rights and justice for people of Caribbean descent

The award was presented during the Future Forward Forum in Kingston, Jamaica. This recognition further solidifies Mrs. Jozef’s standing as a formidable and globally respected leader whose work continues to shape the future of human rights,  racial justice, and immigrant advocacy.

Under her leadership, Haitian Bridge Alliance has played a pivotal role in advancing key immigration policy priorities in the U.S. and internationally, including protections under Temporary Protected Status (TPS), increased oversight of detention conditions, and greater accountability within U.S. immigration systems. She is widely respected by policymakers, international institutions, and civil society leaders as a trusted and influential voice.

Reflecting on the recognition, Guerline Jozef stated, “I receive this recognition with deep humility and unwavering resolve. My commitment remains rooted in advancing dignity, justice, and transformative change for the communities we serve—communities that have too often been ignored, marginalized, and denied their humanity. This award belongs to the people across the Global South and to all those who continue to resist oppression, exclusion, and systemic injustice. Their resilience is our mandate. I am grateful to President Anthea McLaughin and the entire Caribbean Philanthropic Alliance team for this recognition, and even more committed to the work that lies ahead.”
