San Diego, California– As we embark on the celebration of Black History Month, the Haitian Bridge Alliance proudly joins the global community in commemorating the rich history, culture, and contributions of people of African descent. This month offers an invaluable opportunity to reflect on our shared past, honor the resilience of our ancestors, and advocate for a future that embodies unity and justice for all.
Black History Month serves as a powerful reminder of the struggles, triumphs, and the ongoing journey towards equality that people of African descent have faced throughout history. It is a time to celebrate the achievements and milestones achieved by the African diaspora, while acknowledging the economic, social, and political challenges that persist today. We cannot discuss Black History Month without the recognizing the role the Haitian independence played in the liberation movement in the United States and across the world. The Haitian Bridge Alliance, dedicated to advocating for the rights of Black migrants and immigrants, seizes this occasion to highlight the importance of unity among people of African descent worldwide in the fight for better humane immigration laws. In a world marked by diversity, we emphasize the need for solidarity and collaboration to address the various social, economic, and political challenges that disproportionately impact our communities.
In the spirit of unification, the Haitian Bridge Alliance calls on individuals, organizations, and governments to actively engage in fostering a global alliance that promotes equality, justice, and the well-being of people of African descent. By standing together, we can break down barriers, challenge systemic injustices, and create a world where every individual, regardless of their background, can thrive and contribute to society.

As we celebrate Black History Month, let us not only reflect on the past but also commit ourselves to building a future where the principles of unity, equality, and justice guide our actions. We ask President Joseph Biden to maintain his campaign promise that he would restore the soul of America and reject the Senate proposal that aims to create unlawful barriers to people of African descent and others who are seeking asylum in exchange for foreign military spending. It is imperative that we stand united against any racist, draconian, and inhumane measures that compromise the values of compassion, justice, and humanity that form the bedrock of our nation.”
