SAN DIEGO, CA—–The Haitian Bridge Alliance applauds the continued employment authorization protections for Salvadoran TPS beneficiaries with pending EAD renewal applications. USCIS has confirmed that El Salvador’s TPS designation and related benefits are scheduled to terminate on September 9, 2026, while certain TPS-based EADs in categories A12 and C19 may be automatically extended through that date.

“While we remain deeply concerned about the termination of TPS for our Salvadorans siblings, we welcome this extension of employment authorization as an important measure to prevent unnecessary disruption for individuals who have timely sought renewal,” said Guerline Jozef, Executive Director of Haitian Bridge Alliance. “People who have built their lives, worked, and contributed to their communities deserve certainty and dignity. We urge the administration to continue protecting TPS holders from avoidable hardship and to pursue policies that recognize their longstanding contributions and keep families together.”

HBA will continue to work closely with Congress and other policymakers to advance a durable, legislative solution that provides stability, dignity, and a meaningful and permanent path forward for all TPS holders.
