Washington, D.C. – A coalition of the nation’s leading immigration non-governmental organizations will join Members of Congress to denounce President Biden’s harmful and xenophobic executive action that would effectively shut down the U.S.-Mexico border and unfairly cap the number of people who can seek asylum in our country.

We want President Biden to hear us loud and clear: This is not the immigration policy that our country needs. It violates human rights. It goes against American values of welcome. It is not a solution for the challenges we face at our border. He should reverse the action immediately and work to expand access to lawful pathways and restore access to asylum.
